C’è un momento del giorno in cui il sentiero sparisce sotto i piedi — o forse compare proprio allora. Nottetempo nasce da questa soglia, da quel passaggio fragile tra il giorno e la notte, in cui lo sguardo lascia spazio all’ascolto, e l’orientamento si affida ai rumori, agli odori, al passo dell’altro.
Questo progetto è un attraversamento. Di una valle, certo — la Valle Grana — ma anche di una dimensione diversa, notturna. È un invito a camminare nel buio, a mettersi in ascolto del paesaggio che respira piano, e a riconoscere la propria piccolezza di fronte a quel che ci circonda.
Nottetempo è costruito attorno a tre intuizioni: il sentiero come gesto collettivo e temporaneo; la notte come condizione percettiva, pittorica, esistenziale; e il paesaggio invisibile, che si svela a chi sa restare.
Il sentiero Nottetempo si estende per circa 13 km, collegando Monterosso Grana e Pradleves. È un percorso pensato per essere camminato al buio, in lentezza, con attenzione. Attraversa cave di ardesia, boschi, borgate abbandonate e colli da cui osservare il cielo. Ogni punto ha una voce, un ritmo, un invito. La mappa che lo rende accessibile non è solo uno strumento per orientarsi, ma un dispositivo narrativo: ascoltare i propri passi sulle lose, osservare una pietra nel letto di un ruscello, lasciarsi sorprendere all’alba al Pilone di Combetta. È una guida non pre-scrittiva. Invita a perdersi, a rallentare, a lasciarsi attraversare dal paesaggio.
Lungo il sentiero, cinque Proiettori Celesti reinterpretano il telescopio, oggetto dell’osservatore scientifico, per restituirgli una funzione poetica e relazionale. Attivarli è semplice: bastano una torcia, un gesto lento, uno sguardo curioso. Ogni Proiettore genera una visione, suscita una domanda, moltiplica il mistero del qui.

There is a moment in the day when the path disappears beneath your feet — or perhaps it appears at that very moment. Nottetempo arises from this threshold, from that fragile passage between day and night, when sight gives way to listening, and orientation relies on sounds, smells, and the footsteps of others.This project is a crossing. Of a valley, of course — the Grana Valley — but also of a different, nocturnal dimension. It is an invitation to walk in the dark, to listen to the landscape breathing softly, and to recognise one's own smallness in the face of what surrounds us.Nottetempo is built around three insights: the path as a collective and temporary gesture; the night as a perceptive, pictorial, existential condition; and the invisible landscape, which reveals itself to those who know how to stay.
The Nottetempo trail stretches for about 13 km, connecting Monterosso Grana and Pradleves. It is a route designed to be walked in the dark, slowly and carefully. It passes through slate quarries, woods, abandoned villages and hills from which to observe the sky. Each point has a voice, a rhythm, an invitation. The map that makes it accessible is not only a tool for orientation, but also a narrative device: listen to your footsteps on the lose, observe a stone in the bed of a stream, let yourself be surprised at dawn at Pilone di Combetta. It is a non-prescriptive guide. It invites you to lose yourself, to slow down, to let yourself be carried away by the landscape.
Along the trail, five Celestial Projectors reinterpret the telescope, an object of scientific observation, to restore its poetic and relational function. Activating them is simple: all you need is a torch, a slow gesture, a curious glance. Each Projector generates a vision, raises a question, multiplies the mystery of the here and now.
